About the program:
Every day spam emails are sent to millions and millions computer generated emails. Most of these messages, of course, never make it, however, spammers have a strategy to find out which emails are valid. They implant invisible images into html code of email message and when you open it in your browser or email program it sends a message that your email is active and you check it. After that your email address gets to a mailing list which is then resold many times and eventually your inbox will get full with spam messages. That is when our program Spam Defender Pro comes to help you avoid getting into this kind of traps by deleting spam messages before it gets into your inbox, right on the server! Also, it can help you greatly reduce amount of spam you get by using various filters.
This program can also protect you from the new viruses that come out everyday. Even frequent updating of your antivirus software will not guarantee you complete protection. With this program you can delete messages from someone you don't know, containing strange and unexpected attachments directly from the server, before it get to your computer.
When you start the program for the first time you will see this window:

The first thing you will need to do is to add your POP3 email account. To do that click Accounts button. You will see a screen where you can add, remove and edit your accounts:

Click Add button, enter
the required information and click OK button. (In order to use this
program you will need the following information about your email:
1) Your incoming pop3 email server. (for example: pop3.yourprovider.com)
2) Your user name and password. (your user name is the same as the part before
@ in your email address. For example if your email is johnq@provider.com, your
user name is most likely johnq)
If you don't know that information you can call your internet provider to find
out. If you are using Outlook software, you can go to Tools menu, Accounts,
select Mail on the top, click on email account you want to check with Spam
Defender and press Properties button on the right. Then, in the Servers tab
you should see pop3 and your user name information. It will not show your password,
so if you don't remember it, you will have to call your provider.) If you don't
know that information you can call your internet provider to find out. If you
are using Outlook software, you can go to Tools menu, Accounts, select Mail
on the top, click on email account you want to check with Spam Defender and
press Properties button on the right. Then, in the Servers tab you should see
pop3 and your user name information. It will not show your password, so if

OK button again to return to the main window. The account you just added will
be selected in E-mail address field under the buttons. It means that
you are currently working with that account. You can add more accounts later,
and choose which one you want to work with using this drop down menu:

Now that you have your email account information entered you can start using the program.

Fighting junk mail
There are two buttons which essentially do the same thing Spam List and Add Spam. Spam List lets you customize your junk mail blocking conditions and Add Spam simply lets you block certain users or subject conditions from the messages you received. For example, if you want Spam Defender Professional 5.0 to delete all the messages containing BECOME RICH IN A WEEK click Spam List button, New, choose Subject Condition, enter the phrase (not case sensitive) and click Save.

You can specify From Condition if you like to delete all the messages from certain server. For example if you want all the messages that come from someweirdserver.zz to be deleted you will need to choose From Condition instead of Subject Condition and enter someweirdserver.zz. After that in the Spam List window you should see all the conditions.

You can click Add Spam button to block someone you received an email from. You will see a window with the list of messages you received. You can block a user by selecting a message from that person and clicking an Add button on the left (1). If you want to block messages containing same subject line as one of the messages you received you can choose that message and click an Add button on the right (2). In both cases you will see new condition appearing in windows under the Add button. You can remove any of those conditions anytime by selecting it from those windows and clicking Remove button.
